Bishop Carl A. Turner Sr. was born and raised in Pittsburgh, PA. under the leadership of the late, Bishop F.M. Thomas. He was reared by his now-deceased parents, District Elder John Loyd and Evangelist Betty Loyd of Bridgeport, CT. His parents along with the help and guidance of God, taught him to fear the Lord and to keep His commandments.
Pastor Turner has been the Pastor of Highway Gospel Community Temple in West Chester, PA. for 27 years. In 1999, he founded the Highway Word of Faith Family Worship Center, Inc. and led that ministry into purchasing a complex encompassing an entire city block in Wilmington, Delaware valued over 2.5 million dollars in twelve years. He has been in the Kingdom Building business all of his life. He also has traveled extensively throughout the United States, India, Jamaica, London, England, the Bahamas, Bermuda, numerous trips to the continent of Africa including Kenya, Johannesburg and Capetown, South Africa and surrounding cities.
He currently holds / or has held the following prestigious positions:

Former General Treasurer of the Pentecostal Assemblies of the World, Inc.

Presently the Diocesan Bishop of the 47th Episcopal District of the P.A.W., (Kenyan Council)

Presently Convention Manager of the PAW, Inc.

Former Chairman of the Greater PA. State Council (G.P.S.C.) under the leadership of Bishop Ronald L. Young

Former Eastern Regional Director of the G.P.S.C.

Presently General Treasurer of the Pennsylvania Alliance of Apostolic Churches (PAAC).

Former National Evangelist and Youth President for the Churches of God in Christ Jesus Apostolic under the leadership of Bishop William S. Barnes Sr. (1980-1986)
He held the position as owner and C.E.O. of Turner’s Insurance Group for thirty-one years and is presently a successful business partner with Morinda International. (formerly TNI)
Pastor Turner has been married to Karen Boyer Turner for forty-two years. This is the woman that gave him his life back through a successful living donor kidney transplant in September of 2013. Out of their union they share three wonderful children of which one son has preceded them in death and eight beautiful grandchildren and one great-granddaughter of which he is proud.
He currently holds a Bachelors of Arts degree in Pastoral Ministries through Aenon Bible College (of the P.A.W.). He is the author of two books, “Don’t Let Me Die” and “It’s in the Pot”. He also has a large library of sermons that give hope and encouragement to a dying world.
To sum it all up, Pastor Turner is a man on the move for God
